Talking 91 300e license plate light wiring

Found the light bulb indicator light on the other day.Noticed license plat light was out, changed bulb....nothing! Voltage check@the socket revealed 0 volts. Checked wire from light control modual to license plate light socket and found an open circuit.Found a broken wire in the conduit attached to the left trunk hinge. Also found several other wires in this area that were about to fail.If your plate light is out and there is no voltage @ the socket ,this is a good place to check!Problem most likely caused by repeated opening and closing of trunk. Hope this info is helpful to some one!
