Question 104 Engine Harness Replacement-MB Goodwill ?

I know it's been discussed, I've used the search...
But, I would like to know if anyone has had success dealing with MBUSA relating to a "good-will" program to replace the M104 engine wiring harness?
I did the job my self at 100,000 miles, but the part was $670.00
If anyone has been successful in getting reimbursement thru MB, I would LOVE to know your strategies.
Thanks to all in advance for any info

I had no luck because I was not the original owner nor a good regular service customer of the dealership. I also think your leverage declines after it's already done and paid for.

I have seen one done within the last year.

It is my opinion though that a MB dealer can do what he likes about this. There were special relationships involved with the last one I know of. Each dealer gets a certain amount of good will money from MB. They sure aren't going to use it for non customers unless there are extenuating circumstances.

Thanks so much for the input.
With the voices (or at least type-written words) of two moderators ringing in my ears, I will not even attempt to pursue the matter.
Your opinions are invaluable to this forum, and to the maintenance of my own vehicles
