1998 W210 Lower Control Arm Bushing
I tackle this DIY a little while ago.. It didn't take long after I got the springs out.. I cleaned and painted the arms just to make the techs at the dealership jealous. I had a indy press out the old bushing, I supplied the new ones from Mercedes. The indy charged me $130US to do the press job.. The Dealership charged $124US for the parts..

Well, that was my suspicion. I've got a Klann spring compressor set and will order the appropriate bushings and get to it this summer. What parts or part #'s have you all ordered? Is it just the outer bushings or the two A arm to frame bushings too? I have a 20 ton shop press and hope that will do it.
Where to buy them? Thanks for you replies guys, I knew I could count on you!!! Steve

what kind of a job am i looking at
just to get the control arms off? what kind of torque is applied to those bolts? i'm looking at doing this very job at this point (ball joints too), but i'm wondering what kind of tools will be required. when i replaced the control arms on my BMW 5 series, they were damn near impossible to get off without a major sledgehammer....
