I have a '85 380 se, while raising the rear passanger window i heard a crack when it reached the top. I can hear the motor work, but no window movement. I have been able to get the back part of the door panel off but cannot get the panel off at the door handle area(first problem). By peeking in I can see that the rod that slides front/rear below the window has popped out. Is this fixable????

You have a broken slide jaw more than likely. The part is sold separately.

It is not that hard if you have done this before.

The part you are fighting with is a bolt that is at the upper portion of the door handle behind the plastic trim.
