Hello all,
I have a 1986 190E.
My center dash piece which houses the two center vents and the sunroof, defrost, and ant. switch is cracked. I called my dealership and they quoted me $50 for this piece. I was wondering if anyone has replaced this. It LOOKS quite easy just involving a few screws but I have heard that I might have to replace more than that one plastic piece. I am scared to try to take this piece off in the likes of making the cracking worse. Help? Thanks everyone, Scott

I have done this many times. There are some scews behind the switches and you have to pull the insrument cluster out a little. There is a screw in the middle of the vents that has to be loosened and then reinstalled.
