I am in the process of having the engine swapped from one 300D to another. Currently
the jury is still out on the state of the engine in the car to be swapped to. At any rate, I intend to have an engine and transmission removed from one or the other of them and was wondering the best way to stash the extra items for future use.
I have visions of some sort of crate with cradles and a few pounds of cosmoline such as the military might do. If the engine is in need of overhaul, I might not be so interested in boxing it up. They tell me that diesel's store well but I have heard nothing about storing a transmission. What I do know is that they are expensive. Thanks
