Since the spped limit between Tucson and Phoenix is now (in most parts) 75mph it's easy to get in that "groove" that the 2.6 loves...between 80 to 85mph with the tach at 4,000rpm...right smack dab in the powerband! However I noticed that on my 89 190E the hood seemed to "buffet"..ie; kind of bounch around especially on the drivers side. Of course running thru my mind was the nightmare vision of....aieeeeeee..the hood release lets go and agahhhhhhhhh! Does anybody know how the cable could be adjusted or maybe the release latch tightened to solve this problem? Thanks for the help.

Inspect the hood bump stops; fatigued, excessively compressed or missing stops can result in hood flutter at speed.
