replacing headlight bulb 124/131 E300 D

I was in rthe process of upgrading my lights to silverstars,I have hit a snag right away,the plug in to the bulb is frozen on,never replaced ,almost 10 years,
does any one have ideas on freeing the bulb,
would apreceate very much.

Can't really help, other than to suggest trying some 409 or even just a water spritz. I wouldn't expect much from the new bulbs, though, unless the old ones have darkened. It costs about $250 - $300 at discount to get Euro lights, apparently, and that seems to be the only solution folks are happy with.
