How to remove W124 rear rotors - Resolved!
OK, just picked up the 300E and she (of course) has tacos for rotors. I've done the fronts on these before and it was a breeze.
Rears.. oh oh, what have I gotten myself into. I have the calipers off (no biggie) but the rotos simply will NOT come of the hubs. I have the parking brake off, that's not a problem. The little allen is out and I've been beating on the face of the hub with a rubber mallet to see if it's corrosion holding it on and she won't budge.. ![]() I know there are parking brake shoes inside the rotor but do I need to do something speacial to release them beyond letting off the parking brake? Thanks for any and all help! - David 1990 300E (with trashed rear rotors) PS I did a site and even a Google search with a variety of terms and the best I could find was the brake pad replacement page on this very site....
