Question Automatic Transmission

Can somebody tell me the quantity of transmission fluid needed in S320 gearbox oil change as there is no dipstick with this model.

With no dipstick, I am assuming you are referring to a 722.6 transmission. You will need to buy a dipstick if yo want to change it. You cannot just blindly put a certain amount of fluid in. With a sump and torque converter drain it should take in the neighborhood of 8 quarts. Change the filter too. And the fluid has to be at a certain temp to get an accurate reading of the fluid level.

No problem, and what year S320 are you referring to, 97 or newer?

Also, the 722.6 5 speed electoniccally controlled transmission only has the MB fluid as the approved fluid. This fluid must be used and runs around $13-$15 per quart.
