oops snap crackel pop, anybody know what this is

was cleaning my idle control valve today and carefully went to pull the hoses off to change them and a plactic pice broke off that goes into the engine, it has two hoses going into the top of it and a orangish ring around it, it would be in the line of the idle control valve in the pic. thanks

Thermo-vacuum valve. Several colors available, operating at different temperatures. Yours is Red. Fast Lane has them, call Phil if you can't find it.

i figured it out

thanks, that's what i thought it was, just so different from all other cars i've worked on, once i took it out, i knew what it was. appreciated, good luck to me!
