The lever that pops out of the grill is broken off. How do you recommend fixing this? Until I have time to perform the repair, is there a way of opening it with a screwdriver?

You can buy the piece separate, it cost about $3. For now get a needle nose plier and see if you can reach in there and grab the vertical piece. Pull it towards you and voila! If thats broken you can buy that too.

124 880 02 20 is the part number for handle
