water coming from rear-view mirror? 420SEL...
I had previously posted under another title but wasn't even getting any reads. So, there was about a 1/8 of a cup of water in the try in front of the shifter. This is in the new used 420SEL. It seems to be coming from the rear-view mirror? There are about 10-15 drops of water within a 4" radius of the mirror mounting spot. The gasket seemed dry ip at the top in front of the mirror so I didn't know if it was the gasket or if it would have something to do with the sunroof? Where are the drains on this w126? It rained all day yesterday and is going to again all day today.
Thanks David

Sunroof drains are a distinct possibility -- open the sunroof and look in the tray around the opening for trash and leaves. Clear any out. If there is water standing there, you need to check the drain hoses -- run from the front corners of the pan down the windshield pillars, I think, exit under the car. Flush them out, should fix the problem.
If the sunroof is OK, the windshield may be leaking -- water can come out the headliner from that, too. I THINK the windshield is glued on that car (I know the rear window is a gasket) -- if a gasket, just replace, but if glued, probably a bad glue job, and it's likely the window will get broken taking it out to re-glue.....
