Question removing Ashtray + trim on W124

hey guys I need to remove the ashtray and wood trim on my 1994 E420. I took the two screws that are in the back of the ash tray and all the wood trim is loose, but nothing wants to pull out. Do I really have to remove the center console wood trim to do this? It seems if I monkey any harder i'm gonna break something. BTW the radio is out (1492) and I STILL cant get it.

You'll want to remove the center console wood trim around the window switches. Start by opening the roller top box, removing the two screws inside it, and removing the box. You'll see a single screw on a black tab underneath. Remove this and you can loosen the wood. Now you can remove the ashtray.
