190E ceiling lights+squeaky brake pedal

I have a 1993 190E and one fine day, the ceiling/reading lights on the roof of the car stopping turning on when the door is opened. They work fine if I turn them on manually. This also applies to the light in the glove compartment. Is it a blown fuse?? Hope it is an inexpensive fix. Please advise.

Also, my brake pedal creaks quite a bit. Any fix for that?
