Glad you were able to get your cruise control working ...and for a reasonable price! Dan

Brake Switch
Derek,
I read your post with interest as my 1995 e320 does not have cruise either. It worked interemittently for a short while but now nothing. Please tell me where you purchased your brake pedal switch. What is it called, technically, and I wonder if it's the same MB part# for my 1995? Thanks in advance, Shawn |

Your 1995 E320 would use the same part#. I don't know where it is located as I have never done it, but you could easily buy it from a dealer. You might also try purchasing from Fastlane, which is part of this website. There is a link at the top of the page.

So, dragging this thread out of the grave: I, too have had success with my 94 e320(non asr) rectifying inop cruise with brake light switches. I’m on the fourth one(I don’t believe the third one went bad)
My issue is that cruise works at lower speeds, say 45-55mph but won’t work any longer at 70-85mph. It engages for a split second and then kicks off right away. I remember reading something in the past about problems with early w210 cruise not working at high speeds, but I can’t seem to find the thread... Anyone have any insight?

To get some closure on this issue. I changed tire size to the same front and rear: cruise works a treat at all speeds now.
