I recently purchased my first MB. It is a 300D 2.5 Turbo. Never worked on these machines before, so I was wondering if there are any tips to be shared about procedure for replacing glow plugs. The light comes back on after going out at first and Benzmac tells me I may have one or more plugs that are bad. Just thought as long as the hood was up I would do them all. Any special tools or precautions I should know about?
Also what would be a good high quality crankcase oil for this turbo assisted engine?

Many thanks in advance, ROSCOE

On the subject of the glow plugs, you have to ream out the prechamber. You should have a special socket offered by Snap-on to do the work and torque is critical.
