clicking sound
Ok, here's the situation. Could be normal but I just heard it today.
on the 190E2.6, everytime I press on the gas pedal slightly, I hear a tick/click sound coming from the engine compartment. It sounds as if it's a relay. question is, is there a relay that activates right when you press on the pedal during it's initial travel ? it's a one time click everytime i take the foot off the pedal completely and press it again. and the click is there even when i take the foot off the pedal.. confused....

hmm...kinda sounds like my problem too but this time its with the breaks!!!.
I start the car up and i hear this constant ticking sound comming from about the under part of the air filter assembly. sometimes when i drive the car hard and gets up to normal temps. the ticking is really loud. When i put the keys to first position...the ticking comes on but when i apply breaks it goes away... I am going to try to figure this out...someone has mention to be that it was a bad starter solenoid. I had asked a question about this in this forum but is the starter solenoid the same thing as a starter coil?.... Allen.b |
