1989 300tte. I do not feel the ABS. I jam on the brakes in sand/ depress them really sharply in snow/ ice...They stop nicely, but I do not get the "shutters" that my wife's Volvo gets under the same condition. I am wondering if the ABS is actually working. How would I check this out? What would you do?

If the wheels don't lock up & you have steering control, the ABS would be working.
