stalling when slowing or stopping

l have a 1995 E320, owned since new, only 53,000 miles (84,000km) l have a problem that when slowing or stopping the engine cuts out, will not imediately restart, after several minutes will start without cranking. when trying to imediately start acts like flooding. Check engine light comes on, goes out if disconect and then reconect battery. Mecedes dealer diaognostics does not show error.Do not know what to do next.
Changed
New Alternator
New Battery
New fuel filter
New fuel check valves
New fuel sensor
New O2 sensors
New air filter
New plugs
Problem does not happen when normal driving, only when slowing or stopping, seems electrical, hard to understand why time delay will allow restart.

Does it downshift properly as you're slowing down? We once had a car (different brand) that would stall just like that because the torque lock wasn't disengaging. Anyhow, best of luck.

I had a E320 and my dads C230 that I would press on the accelerator and the engine would rev all the way up with very rough shifting, and it felt like it was going to stall.

The Check engine light would come on too.
Turned out it was Mass Airflow Sensor. Easy 5 mins replacement.

Buy the part yourself online and replace yourself.

But hard to believe check engine light comes on and there is no diagnosis code with the OBDII scanner...

It looks like your dealer is trying the trial by error method...
I would get a 2nd opinion at another shop...

I just had the same thing happening on my 300e, turned out a couple of hoses had cracked and broken off the intake resulting the stumbling when slowing down to a stop.

i would check the engine wiring harness for cracks first.
then hook up a fuel pressure gauge, drive and watch the gauge.
fuel volume test should be considered
goodluck

Adjusting the fuel mixture ccw(leaning) 1/4 fixed mine. I was having the exact same problem.

I think he has a 1995 E320 with EFI managed by the ECU...How would he adjust the fuel mixture?
