I've checked the archives on the M104 engine, and there seems to be a recurring theme of blown headgaskets and fried wiring harnesses.
Should I expect the same from a 1995 C36 engine which is basically a hot-rodded M104 (albeit by AMG)? TIA, :-) neil |

I have had my head gasket and wiring harness replaced on my 95 C36. There are updates for each so theoretically it should not happen again. The wiring harness was done on goodwill from MB (at local dealership). Benzmac did the head gasket which was not covered since the car was out of warranty. (no goodwill from MB this time) Since both were fixed I see no evidence of the problems reoccuring.
Hope this helps...Lee |
