Vibration Damper

I have 1989 190 D 2.5 Manual gearbox, The flexi coupling needed to be changed also vibration damper had broken up, I was able to buy the flexi coupling but was told that the vibration damper was not sold as a seperate part and I would have to buy the front section of the Prop shaft which seemed a bit stange as the vibration damper bolts to the flexi drive also told to throw away damper won't stop the car from running I have looked the Flexi drive part numbe up same one fits the 2.0 litre turbo Can anyone advise getting a lot of vibration since discarding Damper

Thanks in advance Vince
