Need help replacing altenator on a 1989 190E 2.6 Is this a do it yourself job? If so what tools are needed. Does the voltage regulator pull upward for removal?

The alternator should be done by an experienced tech. You have to take off the belt and retention it afterwards. This is the only drive belt for the engine.
Yes, the regulator tilts upward for removal. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 1991 GMC Syclone ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
