In a moment of temporary insanity, my business partner and I purchused a truckload of autos/parts in CT and need to move them to the Denver area, anyone have a idea of how to get the stuff from point a to b without spending a fortune? I dont get the trailer with the deal, but a 40ft container would fit the bill, but I understand those are for overseas shipments only. Any bright ideas or experiences?

Try Forward Air. They have a depot in Denver, and they have reasonable shipping prices for things like engines, motorcycles etc. I don't know about a whole container.

First do you need a "box" (also known as a dry trailer) or a flat bed. The prices are different!!!
If all you need is a box, can you load and unload the box yourself? I'd suggest you get some pallets and assemble the parts on the pallets and secure them. Or you can get some "gaylords" (telescopic containers) to put the parts into. A 48 footer holds 20 standard skids. You ought to be paying around $1.15 per mile plus the current fuel surcharge for a dry trailer. Can you afford the time to place the container on a rail. That would be less money. PM me and give me more information and I'll direct you to a reliable carrrier. No Forward Air will not be cheap on a Truck load.

hello
you need a carrier that won't be concerned about deadheading back any distance. i have used the following carriers UES Transportation 800-837-7137 can be a flatbed or van and Overnite Express (common carrier) you'll need to call a local location so call the 800 info op and get their national 800 then get a terminal close by. call them and negotiate some kind of cost. i use these quys quite a bit to haul my machinery i buy. i get an excellent discount so i know they will talk. good luck
