Do a search on ignition switch or steering lock at top of this page

Just did mine a few weeks ago.
You'll need to turn your key to the #1 position otherwise you're in for a long painful (or $$$$$) job. 1. Turn you key to the #1 position 2. Place a small wire into the holes 3. Pull ignition out 4. Reverse for installation of new tumbler (approx $100-150) It's that simple if you can get it into the #1 postion. It'll take you about 15 minutes. Do a search as suggested by "MB STARS". I know there are some post with pics to guide you through this process. If you can't turn the key to the #1 positon then you'll have to drill it out. If you take it to the dealers that will cost you approx $400-600.

I concur with jrmd01.
If you can't get that key to turn, get your checkbook ready. That happened to me last year, and the ignition had to be drilled out.
