Tranny upshift woes... HELP....
Hi All,
My tranny seems to change gears at a higher RPM today than yesterday. It seem to change at a slightly lower RPM when I let off on the pedal. I’m not sure why or if what happened last night is the cause of this problem. OIL CHANGE: Removed filter (gasket was left accidentally) While removing the filter, I damaged the harness of the accelerator pedal. The cable (in front of the filter) came off of it’s fitting. I realigned the fitting and reinstalled the cable. Drained the oil via drain plug. Installed drain plug. Filled with oil. Started engine. All the oil leaked out via crumpled gasket (i.e. there was two gaskets) Removed oil filter. Removed old gasket. Reinstalled filter. Filled with oil. ALL OK… thanks....

Did you disturb the bowden cable (throttle linkage to where the dipstick goes into the transmission) or transmission vacuum signal line (intake manifold to round green thing on driver side of transmission)?
