Question ML 320 Automatic Central Locking above 8mph and global close feature?

Can this feature be programmed on a 98 ML 320?

Also is it possible to program a "global close" feature to automatically close all windows, sunroof, plus lock the car from the keypad?

My Jag has both and I find them very convenient.

Thanks

TJ

The automatic locking can be programmed in the AAM, the locks already lock globally and can be programmed to unlock globally.

There is no key pad.

The fog lights can also be programmed (and bulbs added to existing fixtures), and the seats can be programmed to work without term 15 (without the ignition turned on), like all other MBs and later MLs.

I have done this on my wifes ML as I am 6'4" and she is not. I could hardly get to the key with her seat where she keeps it. MB will not turn this on for you though as the dummies tied the seats and windows as they are in europe on older models. That is that the windows also operate without the key, a DOT no-no. Funny they would build one car here and put a unique feature in (unlike all US models made in Germany) that can't be used here. They made it work two ways for years and they build a car here and it only works the way they built it for europe. Weird.

Thanks

Thank you Steve. I will do the automatic locking at my next visit to the dealer. I will skip the seat just to be on the safe side since the window operation is affected (I have young children).

I have already turned on the fog ("auxiliary") lights since the time I took delivery. I knew that it was available and I asked the dealer to turn the "auxiliary" lights on and install H4 bulbs (I think that's the type - If I remember well). In many stated including mine these "fog" lights are illegal due to their location (too high of the ground?) so "fog lights" is a forbidden word.

Best,
