300e dash removal help

I'm fixing the vac pods for my ac (won't go on recirculate nad every now and then I hear hissing from behind the dash)

I ordered my cd off of ebay but will be a week till it gets here and I need to start NOW!

can anyone give me a basic outline or something to get me started?

I know pulling the steering wheel is unneccesary.

thanks

Removing the dash is "easy" but putting it back together . . .

First, make sure you have:

Ample supply of bags and labels for all the connectors, fasteners and cables you will be encountering.

Notebook to keep track of things that you find

Digital Camera. Picture is worth, you know

List of all the things you might as well do with the dash off, like chaning the heater core valve; running new speaker wire that bypasses the fader; replacing all the light bulbs in the instrument cluster and console; running the wire in the driver's side A pillar for a condensor mic for hands free phone; run vacuum line for euro headlight adjuster; relocate a cigar lighter to the center console for accessories . . . etc.

By that time, your manual should arrive.

I'm selling the car so all I will be doing is vac pods and lights

I though the heater valve was the valve by the battery?
