I don't think camshaft failure is common on early M103 engines with regular oil changes. I would make sure the tube is clean and re-use it. If you decide to replace it, then it's probably not more than $10-20. I talked to Stu Ritter and he didn't see camshaft failures in his shop (3,500 mils oil change intervals), so I'm not seeing this as a nessary update until possibly a valve job. Michael
