'93 300e

won't start,battery good, everything works, nothing happens when key is turned to engage starter. starter good. with key on and activating starter by hand the engine will run very rough and no gauges are working. Any help is appreciated

According to the ETM, there is a Violet wire off the ignition switch that powers the starter solenoid throgh the transmission lock-out, and also connects to the injection control unit. That circuit sounds like a promising place to start.

I'm going to look at that over the weekend. at my first look I did not think I was getting current to the tranny lock out.
