Need help with part id\comparison...

Hey everyone. I changed out the rear thrust link on my 1992 Mercedes 300E part #201 350 31 53 with part #210 350 21 53 which I ordered from partsshop at Phil's recomendation. I took the car to the alignment shop, and they can't bring the toe back into spec. The problem is the cam won't push the front of the wheel far out enough. There are two possible explanations for this:
1.) The wheel hub is bent = $$$
2.) The new part is shorter than the old

Does anyone know anything about these parts? Did I get a 190E part instead of a 300E. At the best, the toe is off half an inch and im out of options.

For starters, do you still have the old link so you can compare it to the new one? That seems to be the simplest place to begin.

I would think it would be difficult to bend the wheel hub or bearing carrier without it being very evident, so #2 seems much more likely.
