400E Sunroof Problem

I have a low mileage 93 400E that has developed a sunroof problem. It has gotten sluggish and now will not flip up unless you give it a little push upward with your hand while pushing the button. It seems to slide open and close O.K. You can hear the motor running like it is trying to raise it up. I am experienced in doing my own work with BMW's I have owned but the Benz is new to me. I don't even know where the motor for the sunroof is located.

Also, the backup lights do not work (the bulbs are o.k.). Is this normally the reverse switch on the tranny and is it difficult to replace? I have observed this is not an easy car to work on (compared to my 735 Bimmer), but it sure is fun to drive. Thank you all for any help you can provide which will point me in the right direction.

Garry
