SRS light on all the time

I own a '94 S320, 101K miles. The SRS light stays on. One time I took it in, they replaced seat belt buckles. The light cleared. but came back a few months later. Next time I took it in the diagnosis was bad seat belt tensioner. I went back after the parts came in but when they installed them the light did not clear. coes were 2, 19, 50, 2, so they took them out. Later, I had some work done at another shop and had the codes checked, this time the codes read: code 018 left side air bag, A63, harness fault. I checked the wires under the seat, all appear to be properly connected. What could be the problem? Will appreciate any help.

At least on the W124s, the most common reason for the SRS fault light to come on is the slip rings in the steering wheel not making good contact with the brushes. Don't know if this applies to your problem.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, about six months ago the horn quit working so I had the contact springs (clock springs) replaced. So, I think that area should be ok. I have an appointment to take the car in to Pinnacle Automotive. We'll see what they find.

No slip rings in the W140 steering wheel, there's a long flat ribbon cable coiled up in there. I also have an SRS light on. My problem is a faulty passenger seat occupancy sensor. The SRS light goes off after a minute or so, so I'm not too bugged by it yet. The repair is on the to-do list.

I had the same thing at first. The light would go out after a minute or so. To fix that they replaced 'belt buckles', but after while the light came back and stayed on all the time.
Thaks for the tip, I'll have them check the seat occupancy switch.
