not wanting to open a can of worms,but....
i'll admit ANYONE knows more about tranny fluid than me but when using syn, you should make sure it has friction modifiers.for all i know , they all have modifiers!i don't know what they do but i believe they are important.maybe someone will enlighten us all(gently stiiring,now).whether dino or syn is better is up to someone else to tell(vigorously stirring,now).you were told to delete this thread........

The different transmission fluid types all have quite different properties. It's not a "mix n' match" proposition. I don't think it matters much if it's synthetic or not, but if you DO use synthetic, make sure there is "something" on the container saying it is "DexronIII/Mercon" compatable.
