C36 code (Y49)

hello

1995 C36 AMG, it runs great ,

A few days after i bought it the check engine light came on,
after I was driving it really hard, I bought it to my friend to read the code . It came back reading P1341 code, adjustable camshaft timing solendoid (Y49) without function (logic chain)
with a snap on OBDII scanner, he also reset the engine light and it hasnt come on since? there is no differnce in driving performance at any time with the light on and with it off,

So what happened? did the computer just get confused with me reving it high, and driving fast, is the solenoid hard to replace , I see that it only 3 allen bolts holding it on , is it a bolt on and go part, can anyone explain how it works to me , i havent had time to go get the MB shop manuals for the C36 yet.

thanks
Dave
