Question on Instrument Cluster Replacement for a 97 E420 (W210)
My 97 E420 instrument cluster was found to be defective and was told by the dealer to replace it with a new one which will cost aroud $800. Instead, I bought a used functional cluster (with slightly higher mileage) last week from a wrecking yard. My question is that can I just simply plug in the replacement cluster or will the car's OBC recognizes the replacement cluster's higher mileage and send an error message.
Thanks for any answers. Garry |

Yes, I did get a cluster from a wrecked 97 E420. So what you are saying is that I can just simply plug the replacement cluster in and the car's OBC would not reject it.
Thanks, Garry |
