center console removal on 240D 4 spd.
Hello all. I have to replace the plastic bracket that holds the three heat control switches. (heat contral left, center blower and heat control right). I've used the book to find the screws and have the console loose, but I think there is something I missed as it won't budge.
I removed the rear central console screw, two cap screws on either side of the drive shaft tunnel, and the the two screws in the foot wells on either side of the console. for good measure, I took out the passenger lower (below glove box) cover. It just doesn't want to budge!! Any help would be appreciated and thaks to all.

IF I READ YOUR POST WRONG I AM SORRY
if this helps great...i have the manual european type hvac control...much like your description it has three dials...1)driver heat 2) blower speed 3) pass heat to remove this panel... pull off the knobs on the sliders for air stream control pull straight off the knobs that control those three dials there you will find three nuts that are holding that panel on...DO NOT BE SURPRISED IF THE BLACK PLASTIC "CUPS" ARE DAMAGED OR CRACKED....that seems normal... pull of the hvac panel hope this helps Jake |
