Benzmac or anyone who might know. In a previous post, you mentioned a BG dip to be applied to the front of brake pads to reduce squeal. What is the full name of this product, and any suggestions where I might find it?

I can't get the stainless steel plate to fit behind the Mintex pads (the pads are too thick), so I applied MBZ silver package paste to the back and sides of the pad backing plate, but still squeals under light brake application at low speed.

MBZ is giving out small packets of anti-squeal these days, but it's green. New formulation? Worked fine on my 500E...all quiet.

Thanks for you reply, Michael,

Yes, that's the stuff that I have. Were you able to place the stainless backing plate, or did yours have one?

I think that I'm going to have to wait until the Mintex pads wear down, so I can place the plate, or try different pads. I'm still interested in trying the dip that Donnie mentioned.

You can only purchase this BG product through a shop.

The product goes on the face of the pad to allow for proper break in.
