300e control arm bushings and repair kit

thinking of replacing the bushings cos of clunky and choppy front end.Got parts:bushings kit
mechanic says 4- 6 hrs to replace.May have to cut arm if its really stuck.
I am thinking of asking him to replace with online struts (Bilstein comforts) and balljoints since later replacement of struts/balljoints may require repeating most of the same labour cost.
question:should i be getting the repair kit which consists of nuts and bolts etc ? for the bushing on fastlane as well. for 7$ each or am I dictating the mechanic(in order to save myself money in the long run, like getting the parts fromDEALER thru the mechanic.
