Check the timing. It can alter the idle speed.

While the car is running, there is a loud roar coming from the AM sensor. The breather hose from the right valve cover is pulling a stroing vacuum. If you plug the hose with your finger, the sensor stops making the loud noise and the vacuum stops. The idle does not change. Also, if you accelerate when it is making the "roar", it goes away.
