fuel pump or relay?
My 87 190E-2.6 sometime will just die while driving, it could be coasting, under acceleration, up hill, down hill or even sitting at a stop light. when it does and i try to restart it just cranks. if i wait about a minute or two and then try, it starts up right away. does anyone know what this could be? ken

kanadary,
I had an almost similar problem, just that my W124 will suddenly die when I slow down. It always restarts without problem. You may have a faulty fuel pump relay. |

Fuel Pump Relay
Sounds like its the fuel pump relay.. I would try to resolder the connectors/tions and make sure there is no corrosion to be found and make sure the connection to the bracket is snug.. I would try ebay for a replacement I have had good luck with bhused.com for components of all sorts they are out of Houston..
Good Luck |
