How much should R12 cost per pound?
How much should R12 cost per pound? I am getting ready to take my car to the shop to have the new compressor/receiver dryer/temp and pressure switch/expansion valve installed and re-charged with r12.
If there is anyone in San Jose CA area that wants the work, PM me. Thanks |

I'm in middle Tennessee, R-12 is $37.00 for a 12 oz. can here at a local parts house. I've heard rumors that it is double that (because of local taxes) in other areas. I stashed a little back when it was still cheap
Saw some recently at an auto swap meet(Carlisle, PA) the fellow wanted $600 for a 30# cannister. Probably a good deal. Good luck Al |

~$300-$375 for 30lb. tank on ebay completed items. Don't know if the link will "hold" for long.
