I'm sure this subject has been hit on a couple times, but I can't find a thread that will lead me in the right direction. I have several years and models of M-B cars that I need to work on and knowing the details about these cars and what to look for will help.

I am looking for chassis codes, (Wxxx) and engine codes (xxx.xxx) and I need to know where to look.

Here is a list of the cars as I identify them.
1967 250 SE Cabriolet
1953 220A Cabriolet (ponton site doesn't recognize a 1953 220A as having a cabriolet, my guess on numbers is W180, M180.921)
1986 500SL
1992 500E

The main reason I need to know is for maintenance reasons. Belts, hoses, oil & air filters. I would prefer to use parts from a dealer, or even OEM style parts. If someone wants to point fingers at a supplier it would also be greatly appreciated.

If VIN codes are required, I could have those next week.
