I haven't used them. But I can highly recommend Ashford Memorial on Dairy Ashford just south of I-10.

All of the M-B owners in that area that I talked to take their vehicles there. Very reasonable prices, well experienced, and family owned since the 70's.

Check out Euro Wheel, 5828 Star Ln. Houston, TX 77057, 713-278-9655. Great rates, much experience with MBs.

Two excellent MB shops in Houston:
MPH on I10 a few miles west of Hiway 6, owner Mike Haven - MB Guru. 281-579-895. The other Fruge's near the Heights, owner Gary Fruge - I first went to him back in the early 80's when my 79 300CD went out of warranty, 713-862-0106.

I have used MPH before but was not impressed about their service and the way they conducted their business. I have a power steering problem but definitely having a second thought about taking my car to MPH

I had seen recommendations for MPH before but I wouldn't bother.
Mike is rude and condescending. I was only asking about service and he came off like a real a$$.

My wife and I have been taking our MB's to Mike for around 20-years (300CD, 300SD, 380SL, ML320 and an ambulance-doored, 2-door 280GE Gelandewagen) and he has always been first rate and the consummate MB Guru - not at all like you describe him. Maybe it was the way you asked??? Sometime you get the response you elicit. .

Can anyone recommend a MB tech in Houston that rebuilds/repairs MB transmissions? My '98 C280 (722.606) tranny is looking like it'll need to be replaced/rebuilt.

Thanks

My S500 tranny was just rebuild 2 weeks ago. It was done by:

British European Motors
604 E Highway 90A
Richmond, TX 77406
(281) 342-9140

Jerry is great, and I highly recommend him. It cost me $2700, basically same tranny. I lost reverse and did a complete rebuild.
