Anyone have the speedometer cluster removal tool?
One of my dashboard light bulbs is out. I tried to use a curved coat hangar, but the cluster is REALLY in there. (I guess that's why these cars don't squeak), and would rather have the proper tool. I guess when you get them, there are two of them, so you can pull both sides at the same time.
Thanks, jeff 1991 300d |

I have used welding rod before with just the tip bent over on a 90 degree angle and the other end bent in the shape of a circle to be able to put my first finger through it. Make sure it is put in the right place on the cluster!

I know this is an old post, but I used paint can opening tools from any home center. They work like a charm.

I have always removed the driver’s kick panel and just pushed the instrument cluster out. I find it easier to remove the oil pressure sending line from the underside.
