Lanolin is the way to go. It's basically the oil from sheeps wool. It restores rubber and i have used it on every peice of rubber i have, it brings it back to it's original shape etc. It's also great for stopping rust (i would never have believed before i saw a bare metal car, sitting under a tarp in a back yard that'd been sprayed in lanolin and let sit, and it was still shiney!)

and theres never a rusty nail near a sheering shed. Hope you guys can source it fairly easily over there, if not i can send some.. (if someone wants to send me an electric window setup for a 114 250CE back!)

google it, great stuff!
