WTB 220d IP

I have finally given up on trying getting my euro 220D IP to work. Does any one have a pneumatic 220D IP they would be interested in selling a euro one would be a god send but at this point I will try almost any thing.
Thanks for your time.

Have you tried contacting bosch for an $800(?) rebuild on your core? And what does PE Haiges say on this? I know he's got a couple of old diesels in his barn that *might* match up. Finally there was a guy in New York state with primitive diesels he was practically giving away on the 'cars for sale' forum last year. Maybe search the parts forum archives 220D too.

At worst case scenario that would be a unique part to the 220D, not exactly like later 240D and different from the 200D engine too. Early 70's saw lots of changes going in MB diesel technology, as I'm sure you know more than me about this.

(edit: Hate to say this, but 115 D's were alot like 1 generational cars with engines not swappable with later and earlier models, mostly on account of the oil filter position..... dunno for sure about the IP.

This and that

Yes you can tell right off it is a early 1970 220d by the fact that the engine shocks don’t come close to mounting and some other differences. There is only a 5 horse power difference between the engine that belongs in there and the one that is actually in there which has great compression. And it is a stick shift when I drove it on 3 cylinders it took close to a full minute to hit 20 miles an hour but then it accelerated pretty good What I find hard to believe is that no one can completely decipher the tag on the engine because it is a Mercedes crate motor tag nor can Bosch or Mercedes figure out the tag on the IP. Other than saying this was a euro version car sold in a third world country with the crate motor sold thousands of miles away the car has over 500K miles on it but it has original paint in fairly nice shape brand new tires, new clutch belts and miscellaneous parts the PO a Put a lot of money in it and gave up I only paid like $200 for the car and he loaned us the trailer to get it home $800 for a rebuild is out of the question finance wise and it is such a different IP then the manual says it should be they made to IP for those cars and this IP is half one that they made and half the other type they made they may not be able to rebuild it
