Back issue mercedes enthusiast-#6 april 2002

getting ready to transplant 5.6 into my w111, any tidbits of info can only help.would love to see the mechanical info in that issue

Are you talking about the 6.3 that was dumped in the W111? The black one on the cover?

I have that and was dissapointed by the relative lack of raw data-and I'm not a very good wrencher at all.

Oh boy!! I am so ready for you to do this. Please post pictures and take lots of them of the process I will be doing the same thing to my 109 in a few years. What tranny are you going to use?

using the 4-speed auto mated to the original engine.what i am tossing around now is engine mounts. and brake servo clearence/or retro fit. was hoping article would shed some light in these areas
