help

hey guys, i am redoing a 1961 220sb and would like to know if the car ever came with two mirrors for the fenders?
i have a 1966 that has the drivers side and it sorta looks like i could rotate the glass 180 deg and mount it on the passenger side fender. am soaking it now as the screw dont want to give up easy.
would appreciate the advise.

Right outside rear view mirror?

I have never seen an American MBZ of that vintage with a right side mirror original placement unless it was a European dilivery or an add on purchased from a right hand drive country. You'l find several right side mirrors on Ebay at different times but they ask a fortune for them (+$100 each). As for mounting an extra left hand mirror on the right side, the base support angle is wrong and will look weird. I personally opted for an after market pair (see my gallery pic under my signature) as a cheaper and attractive alternate.
