Poking and enjoyment-71 280se

It started with a strange noise in the steering pump-used the old long pipe in the ear to isolate.
Removed condensor, radiator and worked back to the steering pump-
The front crankshaft seal was leaking so tackled that as well.
I knew I had to fix a leaking exhaust manifold gasket so kept going.
Ended up replacing the wire harness for the Alt/starter. Cleaned terminals as well. Renewed + battery cable.
Put everything back together ( 4 months or so) and the ride is so much improved. It was enjoyable to remove logically and go back methodically cleaning/refurbishing over time.
I did forget to put the rubber donut keepers on the radiator/oil cooler when I put them in for the second time-radiator leaked on first attempt
Used cable ties instead for now until I feel like taking everything loose.
On to another phase..
